AdviceIndex (adviceindex.com) is a service of advice.ai (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information AdviceIndex handles, what stays on your device, and what reaches our servers only when you ask it to.

Your Answers Stay on Your Device

The core of AdviceIndex (your profile answers, your topic ratings, and your scores) is processed entirely in your browser. Scoring runs on your device, and your in-progress answers are saved only in your browser’s local storage. None of it is sent to our servers as you work. You can erase everything at any time with the “Clear my data” control in the footer, or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Information You Choose to Send Us

Information leaves your browser only through three actions you take deliberately:

• Sharing your report. When you email your report, we receive the recipient addresses you enter and the report you chose to send, and we use them to deliver that email.
• Requesting an advisor meeting.When you submit the request form, we receive your name, email address, and mobile number (plus your report, if you chose to attach it). We store the request and email it to our team so we can respond. The stored request also notes how your visit arrived at the site (see “Cookies” below).
• Verifying your mobile number. When you confirm your number by text message, the number is sent to our verification provider to deliver a one-time code. Verification status is not saved between visits.

Usage Data

We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to understand how the site is used:

• Funnel events.A random session identifier plus the step reached (for example “session started” or “results viewed”). By construction these events can never contain answers, scores, contact details, or free text, and they are never linked to advisor-meeting requests.
• Page views. On the live site we use Google Analytics for page-view statistics. No answer content, profile responses, or contact details are ever sent to it.
• Rate limiting. Our servers use IP addresses transiently to limit abusive request rates.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

• Deliver the report emails you request
• Respond to your advisor-meeting requests
• Verify your mobile number when you ask us to
• Understand aggregate site usage and improve the service
• Protect against fraudulent or abusive activity
• Comply with legal obligations

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information, and we will never share it without your explicit permission. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With the vendors that deliver email, send verification text messages, host our database, and provide analytics, solely to perform those services on our behalf

AdviceIndex sets one first-party cookie of its own: if you arrive from an external link or a tagged campaign, a cookie records that source for up to 30 days, and it is read only if you later submit an advisor-meeting request. Nothing is set for direct visits. Google Analytics sets its own cookies on the live site for page-view statistics; you can control cookies through your browser settings.
